Hello and welcome!!!
I have watched a lot of amazing Korean dramas in the past 4 months and there is more to come. Today I will be sharing with you 4 additional dramas that I am anticipating that will be aired in the next few months. I am expecting a lot of my favorite to be cast in these dramas. A few unexpected collaborations that I can’t wait for.
Without much ado, let’s get it…
Soul Repairer/ Soul Mechanic/ Fix You (Ongoing)
This drama is currently being aired but I am yet to start watching it because of my self-inflicted hefty schedule. All I know about this drama is that it centers around a psychiatrist who is trying to treat his patients and a musical actress who has a painful and traumatic past. I am trying to watch more dramas with a cast that I am not familiar with or head over heels for.
Psycho, but it’s Okay (June 2020)
This is one that I am anticipating, as it is Kim Soo Hyun’s comeback (even though he has cameo appearances in other dramas) since his enlistment. Also, he is acting alongside Seo Ye-Ji who I love. Here Kim Soo-Hyun plays a caretaker who works in a psychiatric ward until he meets Ye-Ji who plays a children’s book illustrator who suffers from an antisocial personality disorder. I am hoping for hilarity, heartfelt pain, and insanely good acting.
Mystic Pop-Up Bar (May 20, 2020)
Okay with this one, the queen of romantic comedy is back. Hwang Jung-eum (check out Queens of KDRAMA) is the embodiment of romantic comedy. This drama is about a mysterious pop bar that travels through dimensions. The people who work in this bar try to solve people’s problems through dreams, that is until one day when Yook Sung-Jae walks into the bar that no one else can seem to get into. I am expecting this one, I have high hopes that this drama will deliver rib-cracking laughter.
Convenience Store Saet Byul (June 12, 2020)
The collaboration is epic, Ji Chang-Wook, and Kim Yoo-Jung, they are going to be perfect together. They can both be hilarious and very serious when needed, they are very good at pulling at your heartstrings. I have a feeling that Chang-Wook is going to be this character that takes a lot of shit from people until Yoo-Jung comes into the picture. Anyways, this drama follows the life of Dae-Hyun (Ji Chang-Wook) who is forced to buy cigarette for a group of high school students (which is illegal) and he never hears from the girl who took his phone number until one day, three years later, she comes to ask for a job at his convenience store, only now she is a university student with strong morals.
I can’t wait for these dramas.
Thanks for reading.
I can’t wait to watch them as well, they are all on my list.
Me too, I have high expectations of the amazing collaborations.
