This damn book!!!
Okay so we have this two guys who have sort of lost contact after an incident that happened on a not so drunk night during camp. Where Jamie (supposed straight guy) ended up giving his best friend Wes a blowjob as a dare.

4 years later they meet again, and they are both hockey players in their final year in different colleges (I just love hockey romance books so darn much). Anyways they have to face each other and this brings back a lot of emotions for them.

As it would happen, Wes decides to go look for Jamie in the camp where is so working as an assistant coach for the summer before he has to go to Toronto and join the NFL
During the course of summer, they build a relationship and the love that they have for each other grows strong (by the way, they was just a lot of steamy times in this book which just made it perfect for the Smutathon currently going on)

If you are looking for hot book to read this Pride month, then this is the one for you.

Rebel Heir & Rebel Heart

Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward

Vacation Romance || Different Worlds || Takes place in another Country

I live in Nigeria so technically almost all the books I read takes place in a different country (lucky me **). This book is actually the first book in a duology and I am really itching to read the second book

Review

Oh my God, this book is just so freaking good. One thing I did love was the fact that the book was very fast paced and I didn’t have to jump any page or get bored.

So we have Gia who has decided to rent a shared apartment in the Hamptons during the summer so that she can write her book.
Then one night she has to stand in for her friend who is a bartender, this is where she meets Rush who is the owner of the bar (and as you can probably guess, they hit things off) he is a rich tattooed guy who has recently inherited a lot of money and buildings from his grandfather.

They kind of have similar past which makes them more drawn to each other but suddenly something happens that shakes their starting relationship.
This puts their affections to a test and they have to decide if to go forward or break things off.

The ending would destroy anyone, that freaking CLIFFHANGER!!!! In the first book

I just love how this book ended on a good note, with the amount fo shit that went down, I believed they deserved the happy ending.

Boyfriend Bargains

Ilsa Madden-Mills

Fake Dating || New to You Author|| Read a Host Fav Book

This is another great read. I dont think I would reread it but I had a lot of fun reading it. I dont really read a lot of sport romance but hockey is one of my favourite and this one definitely is on the top of the list

So we have this guy Zack who has been drafted by the NHL but decided to complete his college degree. He is dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression which stems from guilt he feels from the loss of his girlfriend from high school.

Then we have Sugar who has failed to be admitted to the Law school she wants to go to because she has little to no extracurricular activity. Anyways she decides the best way to get noticed is to date an athlete. This is how the two then meet and then at one party they ended up having sex and emotions and feelings begin to develop and soon they realized that they can live without each other

Only thing is she doesnt know that she looks like this dead ex girlfriend. Bummer!

The amount of steamy scenes between them is just amazing.

Take the Lead

Alexis Daria

Author of Color|| Forbidden Romance ||Out of your Comfort zone

I don’t really gravitate towards books about musicians or even dancers and this was a good one. I don’t know if it is really a forbidden romance but it is what it is.

Just think of a splash between Dancing with the Stars and Jungle Jim.

It’s Gina’s fifth season on the Dance Off and she has never won once but for this season she is determined to win.

She is then paired with a reality TV star of the popular TV show, Living Wild. From there first meeting Gina and Stone would identify the sizzling attraction between them.

Soon the secrets they are both keeping threatens to tear them apart.

I really loved this book and I would definitely recommend it.

Bad Saints

Monica James

Badboy/BadGirl|| Enemies to Lovers

Review

Okay, I enjoyed reading this but it contains strong and violence language and scenes which I honestly don’t mind but it was just too much.

So we have Willow who is on her honeymoon when some Russian speaking dudes beat up her husband and kidnaps her. Only for her to find out that she is being sold to some mob master in Russia

Anyways this is how she meets Saint who is her captor and he is hell bent on making her submit but he soon finds out that she is not one to submit

Soon the attraction between them reach subliminally heights and he cant keep his hands off her. Classic case of Stockholm syndrome.

She finds out a lot about the whole issue, including the fact that her new husband actually sold her in a poker game and Saint is only doing this to protect his sister.

I don’t think I will be reading the other books in the trilogy

I gave this book a 3.4 out of 5 stars

Well I was able to read 6 books (I was just so swamped during the week and I actually did most of my reading at night)
