Hello!
I have a few books that I plan on reading as soon as possible (basically as soon as the spirit of procrastination following me allows). I only realized after compiling this list that most of the books have black representation and are also sequels to books that I have enjoyed.
Most of the books rate on the very steamy scale and I can not wait to read them. I will not be giving much information about these books as I also like to go into them without knowing much.
Without further ado, let’s get into it…
XENI: A Marriage of Inconvenience by Rebekah Weatherspoon
I read the first book Rafe: A Buff Male Nanny last year and it was one of the steamiest books I read in the year. It follows a hot nanny for a divorced doctor’s twin girls. I enjoyed that book and I am hoping this one is as good.
In Xeni, we follow Xeni who ends up getting married while she is trying to claim her inheritance. There is supposedly a hot Scotsman involved and I cannot wait to read this book.
Take A Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert
I made a whole-ass review of GET A LIFE, CHLOE BROWN, and gushed with almost 1000 words about my love for the book and how I think you should read it.
So when I saw that there would be another book in the series following Dani, Chloe’s sister who was cheeky and very funny in the first book, I knew I had to pick it up. In this new book, we follow Dani as she tries to find a guy she can just bang, who would not have any expectations. She doesn’t want him to stay for breakfast, just ‘wham bam thank you ma’am’ kind of situation.
I am super excited to start reading this book
Party of Two by Jasmine Guillory
I read the first four books in the series, some I loved, others were just a fun time. I am quite excited about this one because we follow Olivia who as just started her law firm, with no plans of dating anytime soon. Well, that is until she meets Senator Max and then things sizzle between them.
The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon
Honestly, I knew nothing about this book until all the booktubers I watch raved so much about. I have never read any book by Farrah so I am hoping that this book is a good introduction.
I know that this book is about a group of ladies who become friends after finding out that they were all dating the same guy. They decided to spend the next six months getting to know each other and investing the time in themselves. No men, no dates, but I am thinking that there will be some guy who will make one of the girls break her promise.
I cannot wait to read this one, it reminds me of a movie I watched a while ago. I am hoping I enjoy this as much as the hype surrounding this book.
I enjoyed The Right Swipe which I read last year and I was excited about the next book in the Modern Love series. In the first book, the main characters met over a dating app creation. In this book (honestly I am confused by the synopsis on Goodreads) we follow Katrina whose date ends up going viral on twitter and she has been labeled a hashtag and everyone wants to know the identity of the girl in the video
In comes Jae, her bodyguard, who comes to her rescue and protects her from the public. he takes her to a remote house and I am expecting some steamy romance brewing between the two of them.
Thanks for reading. Do let me know if you have read any of the books.
Ah these sound amazing! I really want to add these to my tbr soon. I’ll be reading romance for a week next month so I’m going to try and squeeze some of these in there. Great post!
I just hope that I get to read them too soon
All books sound fun to read. I am most interested in The Boyfriend Project.
I really want to read it this month
I don’t usually read romance books but I’ve see Take a Hint, Dani Brown and Get a Life, Chloe Brown all over Twitter and they sounded really good so I ordered them. I can’t wait to read them and see what they are like. Hopefully they’ll be the start of a new liking for romance books and branching out with genres as I usually stick to Fantasy and Mythology based books!
I do have to advice that if you don’t read a lot of romance, these books might be a bit to smutty.
The Boyfriend Project is SO cute. I think you’ll absolutely love it! I want to read Girl Gone Viral now. I love finding new recommendations for cute romance books. Glad I read this post!
I just can’t wait to start reading this
