Welcome to another review of the books I read recently!
By recently I meant a few months ago but let’s pretend. I have nothing much to say so let’s get into it…
Parental Guidance by Avery Flynn
Review
I started this late last night and I was unable to sleep because I just wanted to know what happens. I knew that they were going to end up together as that is expected.
We start with Caleb who because of a viral video of smack talk among his friends, has become the social nightmare and he is doing everything he can to maintain his position at the top of the team and this includes him allowing his mother to pick out a girl for him to date via a dating app.
Zara is a small redhead who is as fierce as her hair and has been the glue holding her family together. with her father the jolly man helping everyone but her, she is over his hopes and dreams and she just wants a stable life.
So when she makes a bet with her friends to join the app and go on a date, Zara and Caleb meet and finally the book begins. Sparks fly between them and as expected they cannot keep their hands off each other.
A lot does happen but at the same time, it is so easy to read and the book just flies fast

Awk-weird by Avery Flynn
Review
I think I need to say that I have a thing for books that include one of the characters getting pregnant. It is just my weird thing.
Tess has always been the weird (honestly in my opinion intelligent) girl who spews facts and trivia when she is uncomfortable or doesn’t know what to do in an awkward situation. So when she meets Cole at her best friend’s wedding and they end up sharing a steamy night, the last thing she expects is to get pregnant even when she knows that condoms were used the three times they had sex that night (I had to add that because that shit is just impressive). Anyways with her pregnant, she finally believes that this is the family that she has always wanted but never had. She was dropped off by her mother in family homes where she never felt wanted and was always made to be a burden, so as expected she has reservations about not wanting to be a shitty parent, so she tells Cole and their relationship starts from there.
Cole who sticks to his routine so tightly, cannot believe what is about to come into his life and disrupts his routine life. But when her roof almost collapses in on her, he decides to let her come live with him. They began to fall in love and the FREAKY SEX SCENES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just read it

Loud Mouth by Avery Flynn
Review
Shelby is a small sports blogger who accidentally caused the exposed the familial relationship between two hockey players. Ian did know that his best friend was his brother (even though the brother knew) and now he has decided to put all the blame on Shelby the loudmouth. That is until they end up in a cabin locked in by the snow and unable to find heat but with each other (hmm) I am trying not to spoil this book but as you know with romance books, they end up together. The fact that his father is a hockey legend and he is still unsure about his abilities makes me insecure, especially when his father tries to make everything about him.
I am glad to finally read another book with an iconic airport romantic confession.

Love At First Fight by Sandhya Menon
Review
Let me just say that I enjoyed reading the excerpt 1o Things I Hate About Pinky of that was at the end of the book and I really cannot wait to read the book.
Here we follow Sweetie and Ashish (who is the brother of Rishi, from the first book) who plans a Valentine Day event for Sweetie and he invites Rishi, Dimple, and Pinky and Samir who cannot stop fighting with each other. Pinky is a free spirit and all she hates is bodily represented by Samir but an escape room event results in them working together
I just thought it was hilarious and we got to know a bit more about Pinky.

Fake Fiancee by Ilsa Madden-Mills
Review
I have been slowly making my way through all of Ilsa’s books and I am loving it.
Here we follow Sunny and Max. The first time they met was when he was pulling her out of her car that was submerged under a lake and their first kiss is the one of resuscitation.
So when she meets him again and he is one of the leading players and quarterback in her college’s history she is stunned and her feeling for him rush to the surface.
So when he lays a proposition that she cannot refuse to help him with his playboy image and his chances at a highly coveted position in sports.
It is one of those pretense relationship tropes that I really love.

Thanks for reading Jojo
So many fun, steamy romance books! I’ve definitely been in a romance mood lately, and I’ll need to check out a couple of these myself. Love at First Fight sounds right up my alley!
You should check out Sandhya Menon books, they are cute and quick to read
