Hello and welcome!!!!!
Its been a bit since I did a comprehensive review but I have read a few amazing books recently and I can’t wait to tell you about it. I had a better reading month in February than i did in January and that really helped me get out of my reading slump. If you have not check out my February wrap-up then check it out.
Heartstopper: Volume 1-3 by Alice Oseman

Review
So a while back this book was all over the bookish community and I felt I didn’t want to read it because of the hype surrounding it, until I found out that it was a comic book and that really changed everything for me. I don’t really read a lot of comic books but I find that when I do read one, it end up being a 4 or 5 star book for me. This one is no different.
Without revealing much about this book, we basically follow these two guys in high school who fall in love. Honestly I have a lot of issues with this book, other than the fact that everyone suddenly seems to be gay. It just felt that way to a lot of people because of those where the characters that were brought to the forefront.
I felt the story actually lack content or rather depth, that didn’t stop me from loving it though. I know some of you guys might wonder what I mean by depth, especially with the fact that the book deals a lot with homophobia and self-identification but what I mean is other than that there is nothing else. I felt like it was one of those books that I just read because I have grown used to the characters. Honestly, read it yourself.

The Smoke and Mirrors Duo-logy by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Review
This duo-logy is made up of The Controversial Princess and His True Queen, this is evidently an adult fiction, I don’t know how to put this book. Its just so hot and at some point I wondered why i liked it so much.
So in the first book we follow Princess Adeline of England as she slowly falls in love/lust with Josh Jameson who is an American Actor. Although their future is unsure, they cant stay away from each other, they have what we call an affair but at the end of book one she has to decide if her lust will prevent her from wearing the crown that has fallen on her head.
Then in book two, we get to know about the deception that is going on in the royal family and how suddenly everyone seems to be unfit to wear the crown.
I tried, honestly I tried not to love this duo-logy but it was just so good. I can’t believe I am saying this but I like books that hold enough depth than just the steamy times, which of course I enjoy. This was a mighty package of sex, love, deception, jealous, and mystery all wrapped in two books.

Angry God by L.J Shen

Review
As you might already know, I am a massive fan of L.J Shen, at this point I am so used to her writing style that it is so easy for me to fly through her books easily. Angry God is also one of the books I really wanted to read this year and I am happy that I have read it and I am waiting for the next book in the series. All the books in her series are actually companion novels, you don’t have to read every book but it is fascinating to immerse oneself into a world that is rich and full of twist and morally questionable characters.
I mean, its messed up that every male character in this book just have to have had a terrible past that as made them into a douche bag. This is the 3rd book in the All Saints High which is the spin-off series of the Sinners of Saint series which I really loved. In this book we follow Vaughn Spencer and Carlisle Castle. this book starts off in London, where they are both attending, I guess middle school, where she walks in on him doing something in the middle of the night. Then suddenly he ups and leave to go back home and for years she hears nothing about him until the loss that hits her family and she has to go to his town for school and as you can expect, rather than saying he likes her, the best way to express his love is to torture and bully her. I just love it (lol)
