Hello and welcome!
Let’s just get into it quickly..
.
Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward
Review
I didn’t really enjoy this as much as I was hoping to. I guess I had too high of an expectation.
Considering the amount of vampire books I have read, I am not too impressed.
I have read books 1-8 and they are all set in a fictional world where vampires exist and they are fighting against others who are trying to end the race.
This book series start out with Wrath and Beth and as the world develops we get introduced to more characters who end up having their own book.
So Beth is the daughter of a powerful vampire who had be living in the human world since she was born. She is half vampire and soon she will be going through her transition.
Her father believes that the best chance she has of living is if Wrath who happens to also be the king of vampire help her through the transition.
As you can expect, when he meets her, they have this instant attraction and they end up having sex (yeah, unprotected SEX).
Anyways just to had to the cliche vampire sabang, he is a territorial man who has the raging desire to protect his soon to be mate (like we didn’t expect that)
They fall in love in two days and a few days later they get married (yes, of course this can only happen in a book). So there was a dash of violence, some crappy kidnapping, a hospital run and a sweet saviour
Believe this is something I have read so many times in so many versions (and since I love reading cliche vampire books like this )
I do have to agree that the sex scenes where quite HOT
It gets better with each book as the story and world gets more developed and expansive.
Will I be continuing the series? HELL YEAH!!!
Rating
I gave this series a 3.2 out of 5 stars for now

Love Her or Love Her by Tessa Bailey
Review
Did I love it as much as the first book? No
Did this book annoy the hell out of me? Yes
Were there a lot of textbook Adult romance sentences? Yes
Were there a shitload of sex? Yes
Were there a lot of annoying scenes that tried so hard to be funny, so we could get the romcom factor? Yes
Was it fun to read? Hell yes
I don’t know why but I just hated him calling her ‘honey girl’ I don’t know why it annoyed me so much. It was used so often in the book that I couldn’t not see it.
So they have been together for over 10 years and that includes him going to the military and coming back. Things don’t seem the same way with them and they begin to pull away from each other. The only thing that remains hot between them, is their planned tuesday night sex.
As you can expect, she suddenly realizes that she wants more from him and that results in her leaving the house and because he loves her, he will do anything to get her back, including couples counselling.
