Books I have read recently #4 (series edition)

Hello and welcome!!

So I have just been in a hole reading adult romance which just happen to be series. The past few weeks have been so fast for me. And most of the books I read were so fast paced that help me get through them fast.

*you will realize in this list that I am not adding any novellas or 0.5 books

1. Royal Undercover Duology by Nana Malone

There are two books in the series, Cheeky royal and Cheeky King, there is a novella too but I didn’t read it

My review

Penny is sent on a secret mission to bring the prince back to the country but she has to go undercover to get him to do that. Soon she can’t tell the difference between the assignment and her own feelings. She gets into his bed and he gets into her heart. A tragedy happens and prince sebastian is forced to make a decision.

This duology is just so sweet and intense. Perfect romance read for a lazy afternoon.

I gave this duology a 3.4 out of 5 stars

2. Mount Trilogy by Megan March

There are three books in the series, Ruthless King, Defiant Queen, Sinful Empire

My review

Ruthless king is the taste of romance book club free book of the month (May) on goodreads which lead me to reading all the books.

This was a really quick read for me,it’s about this lady Keira and mafia leader Lachlan. Saying anything more about this book would be giving too much away.

Just read it, it is packed full of steamy times and violence

I gave this trilogy a 3.5 out of 5 stars

3. Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks

There are currently about 16 books in the series but I have read only the first 13 books

  • How to Marry a Vampire
  • Vamps and the City
  • Be still my Vampire Heart
  • The Undead Next Door
  • All I want for Christmas is a Vampire
  • Secret Life of a Vampire
  • Forbidden Nights with a Vampire
  • The Vampire and the Virgin
  • Eat Prey Love
  • Vampire Mine
  • Sexiest Vampire Alive
  • Wanted Dead or Alive
  • Wild About You

I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this series. Vampires are not really a new concept when it comes to adult fiction or even the whole fictional universe but this is definitely a new and different spin to the whole vampire sabang.

So the whole series starts off with the Vampire Roman who is the coven master of American and a great scientist, also the maker of synthetic blood. Now, his creation has helped reduced the amount of vampires who feed from humans. The ones who still feed from humans are called malcontents.

He has lost a fang and he needs a dentist to him put it back before he falls in his death sleep. This is where shanna comes in, alonh with he bargain and her fear of blood.

You can definitely see where I am going with this, anyways for me the characters are really what made this series for me. There are vampires, werewolves, werepanthers, werebears, Angel’s and much more.

Each book is about a different character and their journey to love and I just love them all.

So far based on the books I have read, I gave the series a 4.2 out of 5 stars

4. Rich Boys of Burberry Prep by C.M. Stunich

There are currently 3 books in the series and I have read all three of them.

  • Filthy Rich Boys
  • Bad Bad Bluebloods
  • The Envy of Idols

So this starts off like every other poor girl rich guy high school story, only in this case it happens in a ridiculously expensive prep school. So Maryne gets a scholarship to Burberry Prep but soon she finds out that she is far out of her league. Then she becomes the main focus of a bet with leads to her being bullied and disgraced by the most popular boys in the school.

Maryne as decided not to give up and is using her summer break to prepare for her revenge and they do say revenge is best served hot.

I would have given this book a high rating but because of the indecision and the annoying fact that she couldn’t get her emotions in order just kept annoying me. Read it and you would understand.

I can’t wait to read the Last book and don’t forget to check out C.M Stunich new book THE SECRET GIRL

I gave the series so far a 3.5 out of 5 stars

5. Fallen Angel Series by Frank Ella and Blaine Brooke

  • Halo
  • Viper
  • Angel

Well let me start by saying I loved this one. I even created a playlist for this book, because reading it just made me want to listen to music.

Its about this guy called Halo and how he becomes the front man for a rock band he is a fan of. He goes for the audition and he is chosen to be the lead singer but things start to change for him when he realises that he is exceptionally attracted to Viper who is the hot as sin, brooding SOB (Halo isn’t gay bu the way). Viper is determined to get Halo into his bed and what Viper wants, Viper gets.

The whole series just put me in the music listening Mood. So I put together a playlist. I can’t wait for Killian’s story

1. Halsey – Nightmare

2. BTS – Make It Right

3. Woody – Fire Up

4. Clairity – Exorcism

5. Jacob Banks – Chainsmoking

6. Linkin Park – Numb

7. Billie Eilish – Ocean Eyes

I gave this series a 4.5 out of 5 stars
