Hello!
Welcome to another post! I get why they saw book buying is an addiction and I can’t believe how close together my book hauls are when I am not really reading books at my usual speed lately (trust me, life would do that to you).
Anyways, I was able to visit a few charity shops in the past few weeks and I got a lot of good deals, for example, I got about five books for one pounds and my library was also doing a book sale and I picked up quite a number of books.
Girl With A Pearl Earring by Tracy ChevalierAll I know is that it is a contemporary classic about a young woman who discovers her artistic eye. A fictional account of the Painter Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with the Pearl Earring.
I love Art and I love fiction, this is perfect
.
Dread Nation by Justina IrelandI didn’t need any convincing with this one, the fierce lady on the cover and the fact that there is a touch of zombie in this was what drew me in
.
The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards All I know about this book, is that a man lied to his wife that their daughter died at birth when actually she has down syndrome and he hid her away with a nurse.
.
Listening to a Pogrom on the Radio by
Micheal RosenAs you can tell, it’s a book of poems and I have been getting into reading a lot of poetry lately
.
Thanks for reading.
