Welcome to my TBR for August!
I have to thank #Netgalley for making some of these books available to me and I might have read a few of these books by the time this post goes up. I am also participating in the Diversifythatshelf Readathon hosted by Noura who I absolutely love, this will give me the motivation I need to actually read some of the books on this list. I have been trying to read a lot more translated books because I feel that there is a vast amount of books I can’t read because of the language barrier and I am hoping that I can bring some of them to the light. I hope you can recommend me some of your favorite translated books (English or German please)
Without further ado, Let’s get into it…
The Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty
I have a review of this up already DAEVABAD TRILOGY || REVIEW
Sisters of Berlin by Juliet Conlin
I am reading this book as part of the Blog Tour hosted by LoveBooksTour and I am quite fascinated with this book. Set in Berlin, 2019, we follow Nina whose life is about to be upended after secrets from the past are exposed and the brutal death of her sister and her unborn child. It’s very intriguing and I cannot wait to read it
10 Things I Hate about Pinky by Sandhya Menon
I have really loved all of Sandhya Menon books so far and I would be reading this book as part of the Diversifythatshelf Readathon.
The Missing of Clair de lune & The Memory of Babel by Christelle Dabos
Since reading the first book in the Mirror Visitor quartet I have been itching to read the next books in the series and I was procrastinating and waiting for the 3rd book which is kindly provided to me by #netgalley, so I really have no excuse now. These books were originally in French and it was translated to English (Since I am not classy enough to speak french), anyways I am hoping to read them this month.
Galleyathon is also a readathon taking place in August and you basically just have to read as much of the books on your Netgalley shelf as possible and I have decided to read about 4 or 5 books on my list and they include
- The Takeover by T.L. Swan
- Tempting the Prince by Christi Barth
- The Knockout by Sajni Patel
- Once Dishonored by Mary Jo Putney
- Allegria by Giuseppe Ungaretti
Are you participating in any readathon this month? which ones are you participating in?
Thanks for reading.
EVERYONE wants to read Empire of Gold soon! Best of luck with it
I have read it and I absolutely loved it. I cannot recommend the series enough
Is it easy to get into?
moderately easy to get into, When you get through the first 3 chapters you really can’t put it down at that point
