Hello and welcome!
.
So the idea for this post actually arose from the fact that I have a lot of books on my shelf that I never gravitate towards. Some are ARCs, some are gifts and some I picked up hoping to one day get to it. I am hoping that this blog would inspire me to finally pick them up.
What I will be doing is picking one of these books and reading the first two chapters just to get a feel of the book.
.
Genres I rarely pick
1. Sci-fi
2. Thriller/Mystery
3. Classics
4. Dystopia
5. Non-fiction
.
So today I will be mentioning at least one book I want to read from each genre.
1.Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
2. Final Girls by Riley Sager
3. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I know everyone in the world have read it and I haven’t, I know don’t hate me. I can honestly tell you everything that happened in this book from the numerous references in TV and books but I have never read it.
4. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
I can’t really say I don’t read this genre because I have read a few dystopian books and loved it (such as Scythe, the shatter me series) but I won’t be reading hunger games or even divergent. I just don’t want to.
5. Women’s work: A reckoning with work and home by Megan K. Stack
Thanks for reading.
Have you read any of the above books?
This is a great list! I’ve read three of these: Pride & Prejudice, Final Girls and Aurora Rising and I’ve loved them all. P&P is one of my all time favorite classics. Final Girls threw me with that shocking ending. Aurora Rising was such a fun space adventure full of hilarious and quirky characters that I grew to love. I hope you enjoy all of these whenever, if ever, you get to them 🙂
I might start with Aurora rising 🙃
Yaaas, I hope you love it 😃
